Heartbeat of NationIndependence Day
On August 15th, we celebrate Independence Day, a day of joy and pride for all Indians. We unite with our members and volunteers to commemorate our liberation from 200 years of British colonial rule. Our president hoists the national flag, and we sing the national anthem together. Sweets are distributed to every attendee, and local children participate in cultural programs, enhancing the festive spirit and making the day truly memorable.
Netaji Jayanti
Every year on January 23rd, we celebrate Netaji Jayanti to honor Subhas Chandra Bose, one of the nation’s most revered leaders. We organize a program where we garland his photograph, and our president delivers a motivational speech, encouraging us to follow his inspiring path. As part of the celebration, children are gifted books, notebooks, and other stationery materials, promoting education and remembering Netaji’s values and contributions.
Republic Day
We also observe January 26th, the day our nation enacted the Constitution of India. On this day, we gather at our organization’s premises with members and volunteers. Our secretary hoists the Indian flag, followed by the singing of the national anthem. To mark the occasion and foster community spirit, a delicious meal is distributed to the local people, celebrating unity and the values enshrined in our Constitution.
World Environment Day
Annually on June 5th, we celebrate World Environment Day. We conduct awareness campaigns, tree-planting initiatives, and distribution programs to promote environmental sustainability. Through education and action, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of preserving our planet and inspire communities to take meaningful steps towards a greener, healthier future. Together, we strive for a more sustainable world for generations to come.
Celebrating Birthdays
We celebrate the birthdays of our organization members by reaching out to the marginalized areas where we serve. To make the day unforgettable and memorable, we distribute food, chocolates, and cakes to the underprivileged communities. By sharing our joy with those in need, we aim to make the occasion special not just for our members, but also for the people we support. This act of kindness brings happiness to both, creating lasting memories for everyone involved.
Day of Commemoration
We also commemorate the days when we lost any of our companions or co-warriors by conducting food distribution programs for those in need. On these occasions, we pay tribute to their souls and reach out to people struggling on the streets and in slums, offering meals in their honor. This initiative serves as a tribute to their memory, spreading compassion and support to the less fortunate while keeping their legacy alive through service.
Vidyasagar Jayanti
We respond promptly whenever people are affected by natural calamities like floods, storms, or cyclones. We provide essential aid such as food, clothes, medicine, and drinking water based on the needs of the affected. In 2020, we extended our support to marginalized areas of Sundarban, helping those impacted by Cyclone Amphan. Our efforts aim to ensure timely relief and assistance, bringing much-needed supplies to communities in distress and helping them recover from the devastation.
Rabindra Jayanti
Rabindranath Tagore, the pride of Bengal, the person who had taken literature to another level and brought our nation to the forefront of the world. His birth anniversary celebration is very significant for us. We observe Rabindra Jayanti every year on the 25th of Baisakh, bringing together our members and the local community. We hold a vibrant cultural program in honor of Rabindranath Tagore, where local children participate in performances and engage with his literary works. This celebration highlights Tagore’s profound contributions to literature and culture, fostering appreciation and understanding of his legacy among the younger generation.
Children’s Day
Children’s Day celebrates the joy of childhood and highlights the importance of children’s rights and well-being. Observed on different dates globally, it promotes love, care, and opportunities for all children. The day features fun activities, cultural programs, and awareness campaigns about education, healthcare, and protection from harm. It reminds us to nurture young minds and create a supportive environment for every child to grow, thrive, and achieve their full potential.
